Not only does LFRA care about the fate of America and her citizens, but we also care about their privacy.  This
privacy policy serves to inform you of what information we may collect from you, and how we may use that
information.  Please note that this privacy policy may change from time to time.

1. WHAT INFORMATION MAY BE COLLECTED
LFRA collects two kinds of information: personal information that you choose to supply us, and non-personal
information, such as your IP address.

A. Personal Identifiable Information

Newsletters, Online Postcards, Donations, and other LFRA Information
If you subscribe to LFRA e-newsletter, request additional information about LFRA, submit a donation online, or
participate in any other services on the LFRA web site that requires personal information, we may request your
name, mailing address, telephone number, email address, birth year and eligibility to vote, in order to respond to
your inquiries.  If you sign up a friend to receive any of the above information, we may request your name and
email address as well as the name and email address of the friend to whom you wish to send this information.
LFRA may collect and store the information you choose to provide us to send you information about LFRA and
LFRA partners as well as valid third parties from time to time.  If you make a donation to LFRA and elect to pay
online, LFRA will collect the necessary financial information.  LFRA collects and stores some information the
user chooses to provide, including name, address and email address to send users information about LFRA
and LFRA partners and valid third parties from time to time.  LFRA will not disclose financial information except
where necessary to fulfill users' donation requests.  LFRA collects such financial information in a secure manner
and discards such financial information in a privacy secured manner after processing.

Polls, Contests and Promotions
From time to time, LFRA may request information from you via online polls, surveys, or contests.  Participation in
these polls, surveys and contests are completely voluntary; you have a choice whether or not to disclose
information required to enter.  Information requested may include personal contact information such as your
name, shipping and email address.  Contact information will be used to notify winners, award prizes and contact
users with further information about LFRA and LFRA programs, products and services, as well as the programs,
products and services of LFRA partners and valid third parties.  Survey information will be used for the purpose of
monitoring or improving both LFRA and its website.

Stars and Stripes Action Network
LFRA's Stars and Stripes Action Network (SSAN) collects and uses personally identifiable information in
connection with grassroots outreach and advocacy efforts.  In order to use SSAN's tools to send emails, faxes, or
letters to decision makers, we require a user to provide a name, mailing address and email address.  
Participation in SSAN is completely voluntary.  Information collected is used for the promotion of LFRA and SSAN
legislative goals, grassroots outreach and policy advocacy.

B. Non-personally identifiable information

IP Addresses and Environmental Variables
LFRA may also collect information through IP addresses and environmental variables.  An "IP address" is a
number used by computers on the network to identify your computer so that data can be transmitted to you.
"Environmental variables" include, among other things, the domain from which you access the Internet, the time
you accessed our web site, type of web browseer and operating system or platform used, the Internet address of
the web site you left to visit LFRA, and  the names of the pages you visited while on our web site.  We collect this
information to allow us to detect broad demographic trends, provide information tailored to your interests,
enhance your web site experience, and monitor our chat and forum rooms as well as other security measures for
your protection.  This information may be aggregated in an anonymous manner such as graphs, percentage
reports and the likes.

2.  HOW THIS INFORMATION MAY BE USED
We may share personally and non-personally identifiable information with partners, affiliates, and third party
sources who are hired to help with database or other LFRA functions, who are subject to a confidentiality
agreement.  We will not indulge this information to any third party sources not hired by LFRA and not under the
confidentiality statement, nor will sell this information to any lists.

We will also not share personally identifiable information obtained from activists when they subscribe to SSAN
with the following two exceptions: (1) When you take action, you will be identified on the action itself as the sender
- for example, in the email or fax to sent to the decision-maker;  (2) we may share personally identifiable
information who are partners, affiliates, or third party aids hired to help with database and other LFRA functions,
who are subject to a confidentiality agreement.

3. USER CONTROL OVER COLLECTION AND USE OF INFORMATION
You may choose not to provide LFRA with any contact information.  However, by doing so, we may be unable to
respond to your request for LFRA information, enter you in any contests, facilitate your action via SSAN, or perform
other desired actions which require this information.

You may at any time chose to unsubscribe from any correspondence, or services provided by LFRA.  To do so
please contact LFRA with this request.
